22 October 2024 | Conference on Fruit Processing and By-Products Valorization
The conference held at the University of Aveiro featured a program packed with presentations focused on four thematic areas: Healthier Functional Processed Foods, Healthy Food Ingredients, Valorization of By-products and Biological Waste, and Sustainable Applications in Agriculture. In total, we had 38 oral presentations and flash communications.
We were pleased to welcome Ana Martinho from Sumol Compal, Ana Fernandes from the University of Porto, Cláudia Nunes from the University of Aveiro, and Aissam El Finiti from Ibn Zohr University, Morocco, as invited lecturers.
The Viia Food team also joined us with their delicious snacks and juices made with prickly pear, allowing participants to taste these healthy products derived from one of the fruits researched by InovFarmer.MED.
As we are always focused on knowledge transfer and networking across different thematic areas, we presented the poster for the Second Symposium that InovFarmer.MED will host in November 2025 in Morocco.
