This conference served as a vital platform to foster synergies between ongoing research initiatives, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote collaboration among stakeholders from academia, industry, and the public sector. Participants will have the opportunity to share completed and planned activities, present lectures, oral and flash communications, and engage in targeted networking sessions. Thematic discussions will focus on:

– Digital solutions for building resilient and efficient agri-food supply chains

– Healthy foods and transformative dietary changes

– Advancing ingredients and processing solutions for food and agriculture

– Business models that promote equity and empower farmers

Together, we will explore the implementation of smart technologies, healthy food systems, innovative agri-business, biowaste valorization, and the development of circular economy approaches. These efforts align with the European Green Deal, the Circular Economy Action Plan, and the broader vision of achieving carbon neutrality and sustainable prosperity for all by 2050.

This event counted on 56 registrations and 36 abstracts, from a total of 8 countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Morocco, Italy, Tunisia, Egypt and Brazil.

The event featured:

4 Invited Lectures (one per session);

20 oral communications (five in Session 1, four in Session 2, seven in Session 3, and four in Session 4);

and 14 flash communications (three in Session 2 and eleven in Session 3).
