The Conference on Fruit Processing and By-products Valorization took place at University of Aveiro, Portugal. The one day Conference focused on various topics related with the agrofood industry, namely healthier processed functional foods, health food ingredients’, valorisation of byproducts and biowaste, agricultural sustainable applications.
This event counted on 65 registrations and 38 abstracts, from a total of 8 countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Morocco, Italy, Tunisia, Egypt and Brazil.
The event featured:
4 Invited Lectures (one per session);
19 oral communications (four in Session 1, three in Session 2, eight in Session 3, and four in Session 4);
and 17 flash communications (one in Session 1, four in Session 2, eight in Session 3, and four in Session 4).
An E-Book with ISBN: 978-989-97584-2-1 was published and made available on-line in the website of InovFarmer.MED https://inovfarmer-med.org/conference-2024/ .
A second event is already planned for April 2025. This event will allow the continuation of promoting international cooperation and knowledge sharing, focusing on the specificities and opportunities of Mediterranean agriculture and agribusiness. These events reflect the ongoing commitment of the InovFarmer.MED project to promote innovation, sustainability and efficiency in the agricultural sector, contributing to the economic and technological development of the regions involved.
